Their coffee is pretty good, the staff is nice and attentive, but the place is way too crowded because of the location 🙂 That’s probably good for the business, maybe not as much for the atmosphere of the place.
Capitol Coffee Works passes the Melbourne test (the Australian city obsessed with coffee) with flying colours. A great spot to drop in for your morning fix. Plenty of tables with people reading and working, this can also be a place to linger.
In addition to serving top notch espresso and other coffee drinks, the business puts its employees first, one mentioned to me. Living wage, paid vacation, full benefits. Most unusual at this small a business and one more reason to patronize in my book.
We were hanging out in Capitol Hill so decided to stop by Capitol Coffee Works for a drink. Latte was DELISH and service was friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood.
