Great Appetizers and Service. Had the three tiered appetizer tray with lamb sausage, spicy prawns and deviled eggs with caviar…thought it was excellent. Also had a crab salad that I loved and a lamb burger. Great service and ambiance.
Poor Service. Last Friday I met colleagues at the Fireside room for Happy hour. We were there for 2hours but only had one round of drinks and no food because the servers never came by the tables. We would have gladly had 2 or even 3 rounds and something to eat. At one point we had to visibly flag someone down to get the check.I really like the space, it is very cozy for a winter night but I won’t be back.
Overpriced Poorly Done Food. We were impressed when we first entered by the cozy atmosphere and looked forward to a tasty lunch. They had a grass fed beef burger (about $15)on the menu and I was all in! I ordered it VERY WELL DONE, but when it arrived it was very Medium rare. The waitress was great and quickly took it back and a few minutes later returned with the same burger MICROWAVED (yuk)!!! On top of that, it was still VERY PINK all through. We left and will not return for food ever again.
Warm and Cozy. We stopped by for happy hour today–a wet November Saturday afternoon. Plopped down into some oversized leather chairs near the fireplace and got treated to the newly arrived band for tonight’s performance, Chamber vs. Chamber, setting up and warming up during our drinks. What a treat. They are great and we didn’t even have to pay a cover! After a 100 years, this remains a fabulous place to sit in style and drink some stylish drinks.
Great place to relax at Christmas Time. I love this place year round, but I especially like coming at Christmas time. It’s a wonderful atmosphere to relax, surrounded by dark wood walls, the cozy fireplace and comfy leather chairs. The drinks are wonderful too. The vanilla lemon drop is one of my favorites. Food wise, I enjoy the cheese tray and the burgers. yes, burgers.Like another reviewer stated, this is an excellent place to bring a date or a fun spot to bring your parents or grandparents. Definitely one of my Seattle favorites!
