New favorite. In a city that is easy to find good to great sushi, and creative rolls, Gokan is a very nice addition, and can more than hold its own. In a great location on 10th and Union, it has several very creative appetizers (the deep fried oysters were spectacular, amazing crunch and great texture), and the rolls were very very good. I actually went a few nights in a row, the Bartender fixed very good cocktails, the staff was working extremely hard to please, and the food was fresh and creative They really did a fantastic job with the interior, very smart and well designed, and huge open windows that provide a unique dining experience. This is a new favorite, the quality, dining experience, and price quotient is spot on.
