Simply the best. I work in downtown and have ordered California rolls (the only sushi I love, yes, I’m boring) all over the place. I am practically a California roll conisour- or however you spell it- and I haven’t found any place that makes them taste as good as rolls and sushi does. I think I’ve tried just about every place, including the one at 1501 4th, from which I’m writing this review. If you didn’t catch that, I’m writing a review of another places california rolls while eating california rolls at another sub-standard place because Rolls is closed. Other sushi places leave me hungering for the sushi at Rolls. Their crab mixture is the perfect blend of crab and mayo- just a little on the saturated side- so the crab is moist and flavorful. The advacado is always is large chunks and perfectly ripe. And the rice is tasty and not under-cooked like some other downtown sushi places. It’s kinda perfect.
