LaLot restaurant and bar is a bright newly opened restaurant that serves homestyle Vietnamese cooking. Tonight I wasn't very hungry so I shared a Mekong soup. A little rice in the bottom of my bowl and then I topped it off with the soup, pineapple, elephant root (?), I chose chicken, herbs It had a delicious sweet taste that I hadn't experienced in a soup before. I wish I had been hungrier so I will need to return to try more of their authentic dishes - spring rolls, do it yourself wraps, claypot catfish, and many more. Free on street parking after 6 PM, restaurant is open 11-11 M-Sat, 3-11 on Sundays check it out at www.LALOTseattle.com
