If you are looking for a quick grab of Fish and chips, this is your go to place. They are usually busy and out sometimes. The fish is really tasty, a bit over breaded usually.
In all my visits to the UK, I havent tried out Fish & Chips, & I pick Seattle to have my first bite after hearing rave reviews on this place called Nosh. Well I have had my share of Fish and Chips back home in India, which is primarily made with Basa, not the one made out of a fresh Alaskan Cod right here in Seattle. We bumped into Nosh in the Fremont Sunday Market, alongside several other Food trucks. We went almost when the market was closing & had just one option on the menu, Fish & Chips, and thats what we wanted. After a short wait, we were handed down this humongous piece of deep fried Alaskan cod & we started devouring it shortly after. The fish as such was so fresh, so beautiful & flaky with a nice thin batter, we all loved every bit of it. What I personally loved even more was the minty mushy peas, a slightly acidic, pickled flavour, peas that complimented the fresh fish, wonderfully. The chips were not very crispy and were in little excess oil like the fish, otherwise it was a beautiful meal on a even beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon. This place is highly recommended & definitely lived up to its reputation of being famous. Looking forward to bump into them soon, sometime near Pioneer Square for lunch.
This is definitely one of the best fish-n-chips I had in a long time! I’ve bee hearing rave reviews about this truck and we finally got to try it during the Mobile Food Rodeo event in Fremont. The fish especially makes me feel as if I’m back in London. It was fried to perfection and the fish is still flaky even after when it is cold. Not one place around Seattle that I can find so far, so thank you Nosh for making such an awesome fish! You will have to come over to the east side!
Nosh has been on my to-try list for a very long time, and I was very happy to find out that they are in downtownBellevue food truck pod every Monday. The fish piece was how fish and chips should be: big! with awesome fluffy, super thin, local microbrewry beerbatter that just gently reminded you that you were eating fried food. Thesustainable Pacific codfillet itself was extremely tender and soft. Simple, fish first, and utterly delicious. Fries were great too with their home-made ketchup and a side of the mushed minty peas I wish there were more.Nosh also offersa small menu with bone marrow, rabbit confit, chicken tikka masala, and sandwiches of fish, meatloaf andcaprese.I tried theirmeatloaf sandwicheven though I was never a meat loaf fan, andtheir meat loaf changed my mind.Thepork and beef mixwas tender, lightly seasoned, with carrots andonions; sandwiched between an excellent Macrinapotato rolland layered with arugula, roasted tomatoes and herb aioli, the flavors of the sandwich was excellent withthe downfall being too greasy likely due to the buttered roll.I was delighted to try the fried rabbit confit on my second visit, and I liked it! The outer coatings flavor remindedme of KFC someone had cracked their secret recipe! Rabbit itself was very lean, a little dry perhaps, still delicious. doofniks.com
My favorite food truck…EVER!. We found Nosh at the end of the Ballard Brewery walk sponsored by the Washington Beer (WABL) a few weeks ago. They were parked at Hilliards Brewing.I got the Seattle Fried Rabbit and it was excellent. My wife got the roasted bone marrow and our friend got he British fish and chips. The bone marrow got a lukewarm thumb up and the fish and chips got a enthusiastic two thumbs up from us.The meals were affordable everything was under $10.00 in price.(Pictures are posted of the menu items in this review.)
MMM to Meatloaf Sandwich. Was visiting Seattle and thought I would check out the food truck scene. The NOSH truck did not disappoint one bit. I ordered the Meatloaf Sandwich and had my mind blown away. The flavours that were transfused into the meat made my taste buds dance with joy. This was not just a sandwich it was a piece of art and one that everyone should try.
