Stopped for a bite before a concert at Benaroya Hall. My previous experiences had been during the restaurant’s former iteration as Sazerac. There were not many diners and I was the only patron at the bar at 6 p.m. on a Saturday. The serving staff, seemingly headed by Mike, were excellent. I tried a specialty cocktail which was too sweet for my taste; Mike replaced it gratis. He recommended the prosciutto and asparagus pizza; it was very good. I dropped my knife on the floor; another clean knife was presented before I could pick it up and get back into my chair. The ambiance is rather severe and hard-surfaced. I think that noise will be a problem for those who don’t like to shout at dinner companions when the house is full; some acoustic hangings would be good. I suggest extending Happy Hour through the weekend until a new clientele is built. Though I live east Lake Washington, I’ll return when in town.
