This was my husband’s and my first visit to Seattle, and he was so sweetly excited to try this brunch place after reading the good reviews online. Also happy to see all the LGBT-friendly signs outside, on the walls. But we a long wait outside that weekend morning and once we were finally seated, our server was so indifferent and abrupt with us that we didn’t appreciate the food at all. My pancakes were pretty dry anyway. Saw our server being very attentive and friendly with all other customers; wonder what we could’ve done immediately after we were seated to tick him off. Never again.
My frequent trips to Seattle now consist of trying out new brunch spots. This one came up on a random search and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful, cozy retro looking diner with fresh filling food and great service. Sit on chairs and table or be cool and hang out on the stools by the counters. If you are picky and difficult like my dining partner at the time the staff will still strive to meet your unique needs. Our dishes were delicious, and reasonable. Sitting at the counter, we got to see every other plate go by and approve of aesthetic quality. Will certainly return!
There are some interesting things to try in here. But I always default to a burger and a shake. It’s open and sunny inside, with booths and a counter that you can sit at to eat. The staff is super friendly and there are specials to be had. I like that they try to throw down with veggies options so you don’t get all clogged up. Today, there was a kale special.I think the shakes are pretty good and a burger always seals the deal. The burgers looks small, but they’re deep and pretty filling. I can’t even come close to finishing all the fries and keep forgetting to tell them to cut back so they just don’t get throw out. Parking is horrible around this area.
We snuck in here around brunch time. The place was very busy so it was not too much sneaking. We wound up with a 20 minute wait which was not bad at all.The service pretty good. Not amazing but pretty good. We got served in a relatively quick period of time once we got seated but friendliness was not necessarily abundant. The food was very tasty and fit our needs for what we wanted. The burgers here are fantastic and the salads are good and fresh and well worth your time if there is a brief wait. They have delicious Bloody Mary’s as well!Yum! My idea of a really good diner!
When there’s always a wait you know it’s going to be good. This place is a wonderful stop if you’re in the area and they have some of the best chicken and waffles you can find in the North West. They also make a damn good Bloody Mary.
Went for a late breakfast and we all loved it! Really good food, really filling. Friendly service, really good apple juice. Nice location. I would go back!
What’s not to like? It’s clean, trendy, and the food walks a line between foodie and comfort. The seasoning for the fried chicken is super flavorful and the PB&J is addicting!
