The havarti croissant is perfection and they have Vietnamese coffee. Wish they stayed open later on the weekends. This is definitely my new favorite spot in First Hill.
I’ve never had any complaints about the items I have purchased From this bakery. I work near Sugar and go here about twice a week. Solid stuff and a nice staff. Good espresso too. (Pictures are posted of various items I have purchased at Sugar.)

Love the lemon sugar cookies. Chewy lemony, crunchy sugar on top, not your usual large cookies…love it!
Alas, the perfect cocoanut cake. I have been searching for the perfect cocoanut cake for over a year. And that includes every time I go out of town. Far and wide my search has been almost for nothing. I have wasted much time and money on dry, tasteless slices of c.c. cake. Until I walked into Sugar Bakery. The cake itself is moist and rich, very cocoanutty with a generous layer of the best cocoanut custard in the world. Topped w/ cocoanut frosting and toasting cocoanut shreds. It doesn’t get any better than that, I know, I am tried and true expert.
