Very disappointed. I have been going to Wild Rye Cafe for lunch on and off for over a year now. Used to LOVE this place, now, not so much. Today I received my order in a timely manner, however, then I waited FOREVER to pay for my lunch. I finally just put $20 on the counter and left. The gal taking orders and running the cash register was clearly having troubles, yet no one offered to assist her. In the past, there have usually been 2 workers in the cafe. Today, there were 3 and the service was horrible. I saw 4 customers walk out after waiting to order. When I got to my office to eat my sandwich, there was no pickle and the sandwich was slopped together. Such a bummer, as I thought this cafe was a gem.

Our third trip to Seattle, and the best food we’ve had yet!. Coming in from London, we were looking for a small bakery with amaising food, and are happy to say we found mote than we’d hoped for. Gererous portions of some of the best fresh-baked food we’ve had in Seattle (this is our 3rd trip to the area). The French Dip was expertly crafted with light, crispy exterior that gave way to melt-in-your-mouth light, fluffy fresh bread. The ouju sauce was just the right combination of flavors (not too salty or heavy), with a well balanced sweet and savory beef stock that soaked right into layer upon layer of some of the best thin-cut beef I’ve had the pleasure to taste. Friendly staff, great, fun quiet atmosphere. A truly delightful oasis that we will certainly be back to very soon!
