Not favorite anymore. Living about 2 miles from there and enjoyed meals several times a year for several years, especially Thanksgiving feast. But Nov. 19, 2014 visit was not pleasant. Overpriced and 1/4 marinated chicken was tough and dry. Plus very small serving french fries. My bill of $50 for both meals was highly overpriced. We had to ask for utensils & napkin & refresh drinks even tho very few customers. Cutting corners and losing customers. I will not return and highly disappointed in Vancouver place. Returning to the many other unique restaurants.
Lunch at Vancouver Gustav’s. I took my friend for her birthday lunch today. The food was great but our waiter, Brendon made it even morespecial. He was very attentive and explanatory, and brought a complimentary birthday dessert for us to share. His pleasant personality and great smile was an added bonus.
We are first timers to Gustav’s and really enjoyed our experience. The pork and apricot cherry chutney was delicious and moist. We were really impressed by the customer service as our waiter and another server came to check on us and let us know they were busy. We both really enjoyed our drinks. I ordered the blood orange margarita and my fiance ordered the raspberry mojito. We will definitely be going back again.
Culture. I haven’t tried many foods like the ones they have here. My boyfriend and I always HAVE TO HAVE the shepherd’s pie. I like the cheese and bread fondue but I don’t usually crave it. It’s very warm and nice for an intimate dining experience. The server’s are nice and I will want to try more food items in the future!
Food is good but service is horrible. Mike left us with empty glasses and talked with other customers instead of getting requested food. We finally had to get a manager to get our food.
Okay. We have been here several times since it opened. Overall, it is good, but is somewhat overpriced. Plus, it is not always consistent. Atmosphere is nice. Service is okay.
Great brews and great fondue.
