Great butternut squash! And awesomeWine. However, being there 3 times now the owner of the restaurant (I believe the middle aged lady withLong brown curly hair) is not very nice. It’s lucky for her that they have very nice food and staff because she certainly doesn’t have awesome social skills. In a small town it’s important to have great social skills and yes you’re a restaurant owner who is stressed to the max because your restaurant is busy….but be a little nicer.
Best in the Harbor. Pulls it all together, great and inventive menu, fabulous execution, nice location and perfect service. Priced well for the area, great for Tapas or a full meal.
Best Restaurant in Gig Harbor. I’ve been to this place numerous times since it opened and just last week was my latest visit. The menu is really impressive and I had the Barolo braised beef and a glass of primitivo. My wife ordered the Nicoise salad and a sauvignon blanc. Both were excellent and I’m glad to hear about the sustainable fishing practices for their tuna on the menu.I just really find it a comfortable seat and even when packed, as it was, the feel is great.
Best Restaurant in the Harbor!. I absolutely LOVE this place! The entire concept of the restaurant is what I would do if I had my own place. The food is alway excellent and the weekly soups are divine. Lunch is only served Friday and Saturday and is a huge bargain!! Portions are a bit small, but in this age of over eating I think that’s a good thing. They feature a local artist monthly, so the decor is always changing. I haven’t been for one of their live music nights, but I’m sure it’s wonderful as well. They have happy hour until 6pm every night. You can get a glass of wine for $5 and appetizers for $5 or less!! If you enjoy good food this place is a MUST!
Just not worth the price!. We originally visited Morso upon its grand opening. We were impressed by the wine selection although felt a little overwhelmed at the size of the wine menu. For us casual wine drinkers, this menu took a little getting used to. The ‘small bite’ concept was an interesting draw for us and the restaurant had a unique design which we found intriguing. We decided to have a few appetizers from the menu and based upon all the hype we were excited to taste something new. Sadly, we just didn’t enjoy any of it. And based on the amount of money we spent ($50 for two glasses of wine and two appetizers) we left not thrilled with the newest concept in town. The appetizers weren’t anything special. Just some smeared spreads on toasted pieces of bread and the sardine didn’t impress us at all.Wanting to give them a second try, we visited Morso again. This time it was a sunny day and we sat out on the patio to enjoy the summer view of the harbor. Unfortunately, the fruit flies were so thick we had to use our dinner napkins and bread plates to protect the wine. Two glasses of wine and a very very tiny spinach salad later, we left with the same original opinion as our first visit: Morso is very expensive and just not worth it.
Excellent Place/Excellent Staff. I had such a fabulous meal today and how can sparkling wine not go with everything, particularly in the heat. Our server was really excellent which made the afternoon even more enjoyable. We’ll certainly be back.
We came back!!. Had another fabulous evening at Morso! We really dig this place! The pairings are always spot on. Can’t wait to see what will be on the menu next. Great job Morso!!
