This part of the Tides is a 5, the food, not so much. $10.00 for 2 chorizo breakfast tacos that were cold with rubbery eggs. We have eaten lunch here as well and the food is never better than mediocre. Enjoy the view.
Stunning view and great service. We ate summer specials: COPPER RIVER FISH TACOS** and COPPER RIVER SOCKEYE FISH & CHIPS. Best fish (and chips) I have ever tasted.
Year after year I really enjoy the Tides. The view is stunning, the food is tasty, the atmosphere is fun and the service is great. Tonight I had one of their summer specials, Crab BL(A)T. It was delicious and It was served with the best sweet potato fries I have eaten. They we’re thinly sliced, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had Hales Troll Porter which was creamy and smooth. The beer on tap selection is great.

Where did you go???. The old Tides was a solid Tavern with good food and service. The new Tides has made the decision to jack prices, lower portions, require staff to be confrontational with customers, and secured management that feels they are full so who cares…as a 15 year customer, I do. Will not be back, hope you wake up!
Tides Tavern is amazing. And it is definitely a stop you need to make while you’re visiting Gig Harbor. There is a correction to the restaurant info for the Tides that people need to be aware of though— IT IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. It’s a Tavern. Open to close, it’s 21+. You can dock your boat at the Tavern but the kids can’t go into the restaurant. They have AMAZING pizzas and delicious burgers. I don’t eat seafood, but I hear that their fish and chips is ridiculously awesome. I can say that their clam chowder is great!
Absolutely Wonderful restaurant! Had the blue cheese bacon grilled oysters and the brie and steak chiabatta. Service is incredible. Just A-maz-ing
