Turnpike Pizza umkthxnot. I travel for a living and have eaten my favorite meal, Pizza, nationwide (and beyond) and I’m thinking some reviewers here need a trip to Chicago or New York for a refresher/crash course in Pizza. And, maybe, take the owners with you.Seriously!
Today was my 3rd time here and the 2nd time they messed up my order. Medium cheese, full black olive/half pep. Jesus. Waited 20 minutes only to have 2 different people come over, the pizza maker, then the cashier dolt. First guy is cool, we screwed up, 8 minutes, sorry. I’ll comp you a beer. Ok. Cashier guy comes over 30 sec. later and offers a full pep. NO! 9 minutes later—-a full black olive and Full Pep arrives. Whatever, I give up on this place.
Finally a good NY pizza in the west coast. Great pizza, closest thing to NY pizza I found here in Seattle,, and I am from Long Island.
Some of the worst I’ve had. Horrible pizza!! My slice was a greasy mess and they provide no utensils to try and eat it. Crust is the usual dense, doughy, tasteless variety. Also, I’m not a fan of places that have minimum credit card purchases.
Super unsatisfied with take out order. Picked up pizza within 10 mins of ordering. Pizza was already cold. The meat combo had 4 pieces of ham and a handful of sausage and the crust was dry like cardboard. Total pizza fail. Also it cost 46$. Way overpriced.
Simple, Fast and Delicious. I went to Turnpike or the first time on a sunday morning not knowing what to expect, as every other New York style Pizzeria in town tends to suck, but I loved that fact that this is the real thing. The pizza is perfect – 98% what you get in the bronx, brooklyn or newark pizza would be give or take the toppings ( I wishe they used canned mushroom but they use fresh stuff.) I wish they had a few more things like hoagies and wings.
Good location but….. People uber friendly and nice location on Greenlake. The crust thicker than most and quite good. Very skimpy oningrediants. We had a small margheritte and there wasbarely any cheese (suppose to have 2 types of mozz)and few little strips of basil. Not really acceptable.
