Great cookies!. Cute neighborhood place to go when you’re walking around Green Lake. Coffee is pretty strong, but good. Cookies are delicious, especially the Zen cookie.

A Good Place for Lunch and Pie. When strolling around Greenlake and looking for a comfy lunch as the rain started falling, I happened upon the Urban Bakery. It was just the perfect place for my mood: not too fancy, not too crowded, with quiet service and people reading books or catching up with friends at the tables.Sandwiches are wonderful- made with fresh bread and ingredients, and if you get a vegetarian sandwich, they compensate for no meat by adding fun extras like avacado. Soups were standard, but the pie was where it was at. They had about four or five kinds to choose from, and they all come warmed and with free coffee. Also huge cookies and many different kinds of bread pudding and quiche, if that’s your thing. I’m more of a pie lady myself.
