Great coffee, interesting menu (in a good way) and a fun sci-fi / geeky ecclectic atmosphere. I’m definitely a confirmed carnivore, but their vegitarian / vegan menu is interesting and very tasty. So if you like great coffee, good food, a relaxed friendly atmosphere with lots of references to Star Trek, Babylon 5, Firefly, etc., you’ll like it and fit right in.

Excellent coffee. I’ve been there a couple of times now and their coffee is very, very good. Free wi-fi is a big plus. $0.50 charge on credit/debit transactions makes me give them 4 stars out of 5 rather than 5 out of 5.

Unfriendly, hostile, seemingly-coffee-and-customer-hating owner. The ?owner? is rude, unfriendly, and behaves as if she would much rather the customer was not there so she wouldn’t have to waste her time looking at them. The experience was that her attitude created a hostile energy and unwelcoming atmosphere. I have had similar experiences with her before — she seems to always be there — but I was willing to give the venue another shot. I feel as if I should have known better.I have resumed my personal boycott of Wayward Coffee House, and am unlikely to give them another chance.

Great atmosphere and sandwiches!. I love the open atmosphere here. I’ve spent hours here doing homework, and normally I’m not very good at doing work in coffee shops. I love the big wooden furniture, people playing board games, and the radio station they have–full of oldies (90s) but goodies!

Comfortable. Sometimes, you just want to sit in a comfy chair and relax for a while, and Wayward is a good place to do that. Along with a mixed bag of regular chairs/tables, there are several armchairs and a couch, plus a relaxed atmosphere. I can’t speak to the coffee but they have a couple types of chai (most places just have one brand). The tea selection is awful though – just Stash brand bag tea. My ploughman sandwich was simple (see photo) but good.

A great place!. I’ve been to Wayward many times, and love the casual, comfortable atmosphere and the friendly wait staff and owner. Great coffee (shade grown organic, even!), good snacks and food, reasonable prices, free wireless, comfy seating, and even a small area for little kids to play if you need/want to bring them along. A wonderful coffeehouse!

Bitchy baristas. I suppose it’s hard to find good help these days. maybe if they considered hiring someone over 30 with a decent attitude it would help the business. i dont care about natty dreds, tattoos or whatever you think about men, just a cup of espresso without attitude. i would not be surprised if they spat in my coffee, in fact it tastes like they did. i like small businesses but not if i have to sacrifice my dignity. would rather drink day old at the barnoff across the street.
