Food is quite good for a hockey bar. Staff and patrons are all quite nice. Get there early to get a good seat, particularly during the playoffs. Crowd is heavily skewed towards Blackhawks fans (I’m one of them) – not sure why. Always have had fun spending a night there.

Come here for the poutine!. For being so close to Canada, Seattle has a surprisingly underwhelming selection of places to get a quality poutine. Angry Beaver delivers. It is absolutely delicious – warm thick gravy, delicious melting cheese curds, and of course the fries – unbelievably well cooked, perfectly crispy, and seasoned to perfection. It is the best poutine I have had outside of Canada. Their fish and chips are also excellent – juicy halibut and those crazy good fries again. Do yourself a favor and fill up on poutine and beer – your stomach will love you.
