Best pizza in town.
Welcome to the neighborhood. I’d been watching as the old Sip & Ship location transmogrified into Bill’s on Greenwood, hoping that it would turn out to be a congenial place for happy hour. This afternoon I found out that it is. Nicole the waitress was friendly, answering my pesky questions patiently and serving us well. Not all items are available quite yet, but the house salad was good, the cheesy bread (based on French bread rather than pizza dough) just fine with a delicious marinara for dipping, and the individual pizza with chicken and red peppers very satisfying. I had a local draught beer and enjoyed it. All around, I’m happy that Bill’s has opened and plan to go back to try the other menu items. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday, which will be a welcome addition to the block’s offerings.
