On the water with outside tables that have some view of water, excellent fresh most fish options, pleasant attentive staff, casual come-as-you-are vibe with very good food. Tricky to find the entrance, in a cluster of nearby shops.
They have a great patio that offers a great view of green lake during the summer. They also have very attentive service. I am a vegetarian and they just don’t have any viable vegetarian options. In a town that has a thriving vegetarian scene I think they would be well served to add something besides salad that a vegetarian can eat. That being said my meat eating friends that I went with were not impressed with their chowder or the fish. Most people love Dukes so we may have just been on an off night. I would like to return to see if I have a different opinion.
Award Winning Clam Chowder. Amazing blend of spices and fresh clams. The cream based broth was just the right thickness and very smooth. The perfect hearty meal for a chilly rainy day
Amazing lunch. Went for lunch and had some of the best seafood that I have ever had! the chowder is great I will never look at Chowder the same! great for sitting outside and watching the planes take off and the boats go by on the Sound.
An old classic that’s gone astray. Came here with my family and they were particularly excited about there being Copper River King salmon on the menu. Asked the waiter to clarify that it was indeed Copper River King, which he reassured them it was, only to get our food and find that instead of the beautiful, rich, oily piece of salmon we were expecting, it was a small, dry piece of salmon. Asked the waiter again if it was King and not Sockeye because it didn’t taste like it, and he said yes, but he’d check with the chef, only to find out it wasn’t King or Sockeye, but Coho, which is drastically different. We were pretty disappointed because King salmon is printed on the menu and by the time we got our food it was too late. Pretty good food, but for the price and for the lack of knowledge about seafood, which is the core of their restaurant, can’t say it was my favorite meal.
We really wanted to love this place. The food was good but the service was awful!!!
