Woodlands Pizza is an interesting place in an interesting location. Disclaimer: I have not had their pizza, only their breakfast. I think they have a lot of potential but their location on Aurora seems to be a bit of a negative as it is easy to miss and not somewhere that you would just stop in. We came for breakfast because we heard good things about it. It is counter service, which seems a little counter intuitive for the feel they are going for. The inside is very cozy and a nice place to sit on a rainy day. Their prices are very fair and they have a lot of good choices if you like eggs. I happen to not eat eggs so basically my only choice was a waffle. I think they would be well served to add tofu to their menu in such a vegan friendly town. They also don’t serve any sort of home fries or hash browns. My husband enjoyed his egg scramble although he said it lacked seasoning. It looked like they had a good draft beer selection.I think what is confusing is that they label themselves as a pizza restaurant when it seems like they are a restaurant that just happens to serve pizza. It seems very breakfast centered with a large coffee/smoothie selection and the lunch menu is mostly sandwiches. I think with a few marketing changes they would do well as a neighborhood cafe.

Great neighborhood cafe. Even if you don’t think that Aurora Ave is in a neighborhood, this place still has a great feel to it. More importantly, it has Stumptown coffee, a great breakfast/lunch menu and free wifi. I sat eating my scramble sandwich at the window seating, watching traffic go by and customers come and go to the coffee chain across the street. Yes, Boardroom is so good that the competition had to move in across the street!

Boring Cafe. This place just opened in August and is still figuring things out, I hope. The coffee here is decent, but will not be made fresh for you. Instead, you pump it out of a container like Ketchup at a fast food joint. However, their choice in music is excellent.
