Where to start. Took son and daughter in law for 1st anniversary dinner. I’ll only write about my meal. House salad was drowned in water with a hint of the vinaigrette dressing. Mashed potatoes and parmesan rice for sides and main course was a seafood variety. ALL my food was stone cold. That was ok for the water logged salad but for the sides and main meal. Lobster tail cold no melted butter. Cold shrimp. Cold crab cakes. Everything tasted ok but I didnt complain at the time and risk ruining our family time. Service was so-so. Key lime pie you could barely taste the lime. We all commented that the place was virtually empty. Only around six tables filled. Apparently the staff works also at the Outback next door. We wondered where all the staff went and were told this. Well now we….and you know. If the management doesn’t get on this another highly rated Spokane restaurant will bite the dust. I know I’m not going back…. and maybe you should think twice….Very expensive for substandard.
6/2/2017: This is a serious seafood restaurant. The host was average and seemed to busy to do much more than seat us. Even though the place wasn’t busy, good thing we were there to eat.The waiter and their trainee were very sociable, professional and helpful.I had the special, although a bit more Expensive than regular menu items and since they allowed no changes to those, I went ahead and added a side to the meal in order to get a satisfactory combo. I felt the fish was of good quality and well cooked. Although it didn’t match my expectations from the menu description, it was worth a 4 star rating in my mind. Think if I were a food critic maybe 3 stars. The white wine i had with the meal also was suitable. I think the servers might do with a bit more wine training, although it might be we were under-dressed and decided to go on a whim.I’d go again.Even if it is a restaurant for those that don’t know much about seafood. I think even those that do will like it.I don’t recommend the Tilapia.Matthew
