I called to ask what the breakfast special was on June 22, 2014. Bartender who answered was SUPER RUDE!!! When I asked what her name was, she hung up on me. I will be talking to owner and asking him if that is how he wants his employees to act towards potential customers when they call with a question. We go there a lot on the weekends for their streak and bake, but might not after this.

Do pass go, do collect an incredible breakfast. We’ve been hearing about the incredible breakfasts at the Illinois from neighbors and friends and decided it needed to be assessed. The service was great and everyone friendly. This is not an upscale eatery but you will definitely receive a delicious pay-off for stopping by. The food is amazing…The Illinois clearly has a talent for turning every day menu items into culinary bliss. Just plain and simply good comfort food–and a lot of it. Atmosphere is retro–w/ comfy overstuffed 70’s chairs–kind of Regal Beagle-ish…and we loved it. The menu is huge with amazing prices. Impossible to get a bad seat if you’re there to watch a game–there are TVs everywhere! You will not be disappointed or go away hungry! This Bar & Grill is a hidden gem.
