You just MUST breakfast here. This place is so so great. Under the same ownership for over 30 years these great folks know how to cook an egg! This converted cable car is beautiful and not just crammed with kistch like other places that pretend at being historic. Elegant and fun TOTALLY affordable this delicious food is worth stepping away from the predictable and boring downtown. We were served by the owner who greeted us with a huge smile. This is real food for real people. Know that all of the seating is at a lunch counter style bar so you will be close to your neighbors but not cramped. Not for the high chair set – which I think makes it even more desirable. I will never eat breakfast in Spokane anywhere else.
Great food and atmosphere.. I like to take our grandkids here and wait for seats right in front of the grill. Even the teenagers like to go. Very entertaining for young kids and they will be fascinated with the bathroom. Absolute best pancakes I’ve ever had.
Honestly the best breakfast I have ever had! I loved the breakfast but I think the service and experience was the absolute BEST! You will leave thinking your part of their family! Don’t go to Franks! Head to Knights
Brown Gravy!. Been going here for ages and love the brown gravy for hash browns. Most places only have country gravy, but the savory brown gravy is the best in town.
Worst breakfast ever. I will never go back. My boyfriend and I went and he ordered biscuit and gravy, the spoon full of gravy he got was not even enough for 1 buscuit, he had 4. I ordered country fried steak with gravy. Apparently it comes with brown gravy (for breakfast)….yuck…when I requested country gravy it was as if I had asked for something unheard of….I got attitude from the OWNER over gravy. And other hired hand workin with owner told my boyfriend she would bring him more gravy for his bisciuts, I guess when she brought it realized how stingy they were with gravy and then she nevr came back. Seriously couldnt believe anyone would serve biscuits and gravy with such little gravy. This was worst breakfast we ever paid for. Next time we WILL. Make the extra drive yo WAFFLES PLUS. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO TO KNIGHTS DINER. AWFUL FOOD AND SERVICE.
Food was ok, Service was great. I will probobly not be back to this restaurant. I felt that charging $2.75 for a 12oz. Iced tea was a bit ridiculas. I also felt that being Charged and extra $.50 because my choice of toast with my breakfast was Rye bread was over the top. I had 2 eggs, hashbrowns, rye toast and a 12oz. Iced tea and my bill was $10.82 plus tip for the great service brought my bill to $13.00. For a fry 2 breakfast, this was way to steep. Service friendly, food is just as good as any other breakfast house I have visited. Value for my money…..Sorry, just was not there. If Value for your $ is not an issue, the place is quaint and friendly
In a town obsessed with Frank’s (yuck!), Knight’s is a true gem. Great brkfy, great service, and you can walk off your hash towns with a stroll along the bluff afterwards.
