Well .. looking at the number of positive reviews I had anticipated a bit more people in the restaurant .. customers I meanNearly empty place at dinner time, okay enough weather (no rain no snow) .. that doesn’t leave a good first impression does it .. Anyway, so you try and look past that, check in on yelp .. a free dessert coupon pops up; you get excited .. then when you are told that they don’t know much about it .. more skepticism creeps in .. still given the experience you have had eating at a number of places 😀 you try and be positive ..Now you want to order their ‘choose two’ combo .. an enchilada, a chimichanga .. request if they could make it vegetarian (there is a vegetarian menu option separately but not in the combo) and hear a blunt No .. it doesn’t go well .. How hard would it be to remove the meat 🙁 and add a few more veggies .. comeon guys ..So, a vegetarian chimichanga and a plate of arroz con pollo made to our dinner table .. both of them were alright .. general lack of flavour and seasoning .. and missing the punch one would expect from the food.Given the food, and it is not an upscale restaurant the prices are definitely high.The silver lining in our dinner service was the girl who came to attend us .. she was friendly and charming and lovely .. wish the food could have followed her steps :(Also, the food came out pretty quickly .. I would give it to them.As most people have had a good experience here at Pueblo Amigo, I wouldn’t form an opinion by just one visit .. but by the time I get to be here again, will stick with 3 stars.
