My wife, friend and I decided to stop in for lunch and a few drinks. Something we’ve done before. I ordered a double shot of Pendleton neat, and a beer back. From the smell to the flavor, the whiskey clearly wasn’t Pendleton. It tasted like R&R. My friend confirmed it was not Pendleton. When the wait server came by the table, I told her it didn’t taste like Pendleton and asked if there had been a mistake. By her reaction, it was clear that she knew it wasn’t Pendleton in the Pendleton bottle, but she made a weak hearted attempt to justify it as Pendleton. That said, none of us plan to return. That will be our last visit there. Shame on them for swindling their customers by selling a cheaper whiskey from a more expensive bottle. Criminal.
