Way to Expensive. Went there with a friend and had Breakfast. 1/2 Plate of biskets and gravy 2 eggs 2 Sausages hash browns …… Total Cost : $ 38Conclusion: We were Completely stunned to See the final Bill, we will never go back !!!
Paper wrapped chicken fried steak anyone?. My son had a chicken fried steak there today. It was hard to cut and didn’t taste quite right. After sliding some of the breading off, he found paper! They had forgotten to take the paper off of the steak before breading it. The managements response?!?! $2.00 off the meal! Yes, TWO dollars off! Horrible! We will never be back and will be spreading the word!
Awful first experience. My parents took me there for the first time today. It was busy so we waited our turn in line. Our turn came to be seated and someone walked in behind us. The waitress knew them and immediately seated them. There were no other tables available and we were waiting for 20 minutes. We left.
I like going here for breakfast, it’s just the standard breakfast but good none the less. Eggs are cooked great, huge hot cakes, chicken fried steak is good too. Just watch the veggi omelet if u don’t like canned mushrooms.
Standardly Unmemorable…. An outskirts of Spokane landmark restaurant that surprisingly has few reviews. But with most all of the customers seniors, and all sporting agrarian and hunting apparel perhaps that’s not such a shock. A very unpretentious, home-style, regular-folk restaurant that will never wow anyone with culinary skill, and anyone trying it for the first time should not expect much. I’ve had everything from meatloaf & mash, to ribeye/bake potato/veg platters, in very infrequent visits over the last couple of decades, all with no glaring complaints. Today I went with an open-faced turkey sandwich, which would never make anyone forget the original Swanson’s TV dinner. Was it bad…no. Was it good…no, again. The only reason I was there was on the demand of a retired buddy who makes it one of his locals. Best things they have going for them are their hard liquor license and their smarmy, old-broad waitresses. They’ve been around for 50+ years, and they will continue to roll on with–or without–my endorsement or indictment.
Spokane’s best kept secret– just eat it. For about 13 bucks you can get the best darn surf and turf in this town. The waitresses are the best ever– they genuinely treat customers like family. I admit I went there because I had a coupon. I’ve been back many, many times since. I can’t praise the sportsman highly enough they are awesome.
