D3 (Delicious x 3!). 19o4 rocks. delicious food, delicious drinks and delicious vibe! This place is my favorite places on the island. They have live music pretty often, and it’s an awesome addition that just takes the whole evening up a notch.
Best home cooked food on the island
An oasis in a rural setting. 1904 is fast becoming a place for locals to gather, listen to music, have a drink, and relax. With the nearest watering hole 7 miles north or south it is indeed a welcome pub and in a great location. As a Seattlite with a place in Greenbank, I dare say last Friday there seemed to be vibrant scene happening! It was nice to see. The menu is limited but it works and it’s manageable with a limited staff. There’s fish, chicken, steak and a great spicy capellini dish with artichokes and olives that is my new favorite. And, Hallelujah, I say to a bartender who knows her stuff. I think any new place takes time to get its game down, but what I like about 1904 is that they are listening to their customers, working on improvements and trying to to do the right thing with regards to sustainable practices which is not always easy to do. I wish them every success. If you’re traveling for the day through Whidbey, it’s a great stop along the way.
19o4 Pub and Restaurant, Greenbank, WA. Just a a few thoughts to maybe improve your facility. We have dined at 19o4 about 3-4 times since they opened in October 2010. Even though the menu is very limited, our first experience was good, but the last few times we visited and dined, service was questionable because of the lack of knowledge from the waitress relative to the food content/preparation; and delivery was poorly sequenced. We ordered our meal (salads were extra). We received the salads and right on top of that we got our entree. We ate it cold as it sat aside as we consumed our salads. On a previous visit the free-range chicken was served over cooked and very dry. On a better note, the atmosphere is really great.(warm wood). Everyone is polite and the music is wonderful.
19o4 is the new Cheers!. 19O4 is my favorite new watering hole! The environment is so warm and friendly, the staff is fun and attentive, the music is fantastic… and I haven’t even gotten to the food yet! I’ve loved everything I’e had there, and can’t wait to test the new items on the menu. PLUS, they make a mean Whidbey Island iced tea! I dare you to have TWO.
Thumbs up!. Limited menu, but good food at the right price, and a Pub like atmosphere with a very personable staff. Live local entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights (currently). I hope they continue to prosper and keep the entertainment as a weekend mainstay. A guitarist On Thurs or Sun night would be nice.
