BEST BREAD EVER. One of the best things about Screaming Banshee is that it is our little secret on Whidbey Island, the best bread perhaps in the world, certainly world class bread. I hope the world does not find out about this bread, lets keep it to ourselves. A freshly baked loaf of SB is without a doubt completely addictive and wonderful to behold. Living in Seattle with frequent trips to the bay area I have looked for but never encountered anything quite like it, it is unique and OH so wonderful and I like it slightly burnt!

Rustic Bread. My husband and i visited Langley over the Easter weekend and we bought a loaf of your rustic bread in the Star Store. It is delicious! We have been eating it all week and are out! Bummer! Where can we find it in the Greater Seattle area?
Burnt…. I am thrilled that the Greenbank Store is open again and to support it I bought a loaf of Screaming Banchee Bread. Got home and the bottom was VERY dark and had to be cut away because it gave a burnt taste to the bread. Then just last weekend, I bought another loaf of seeded sourdough and the top was very dark and had to be cut away to get rid of the burnt taste.I don’t think I’ll buy another loaf – buyer beware!
Screaming Banshee Bread is the greatest. We live part time in Greenbank and more time in a Dallas suburb. We have been buying loaves at the Whidbey Pie Caf and bringing it back to Dallas. At this writing we have 1 serving for the two of us left. My husband and I are thinking about going into withdrawal after our next serving. We wish we could get it here in Texas as well.5***** for the Whole Wheat, (if that’s the one that has flax in it).Jelcy
