Fresh, flavorful but a little slow. Inspired by a favorite Thai restaurant in our old ‘hood, we ventured to Noodle Boat tonight and were not disappointed. Panang curry could have used dinner onions along with the bell pepper, but was otherwise full of flavor. I appreciated that it didn’t appear to just have sliced chicken breast, but thighs, too. Phad Thai was a little more most than my presence, but the prawns were very fresh and tasty and flavors were traditionally spot-on.
Noodle Boat comes up way short. Maybe the problem is that I eat Thai food in Thailand too often. While I don’t expect much in Issaquah, Noodle Boat still came in way below expectation this evening ;(

Come with patience in mind but the wait WILL be worth it! I came here based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and they were certainly right on the nose. The service is very slow because there are usually 2-3 servers working at any given time and they are not incredibly efficient. However, the food is incredible! We had the chicken fried rice, cashew chicken, and red curry with chicken at our table and it was all absolutely delicious. This red curry was some of the best curry I’ve ever eaten! Hands down, if you want great food, get here!
Delicious. Although its location, tucked away in a dark corner on Gilman, may lead people to be cautious when choosing this restaurant, I still highly suggest it. From various articles and multiple visits I have learned that Noodle Boat is family run and every couple of years some of the family members return to Thailand to freshen up their recipes and get new ideas. The TV is often turned on in the back during dinner hours which can be distracting at times, but the service has always been pleasant and the food continually delicious. Be careful when determining spice, however, my family loves some spice in our food and their version of mild is plenty for our taste buds. This is a great place to be adventurous, for often times the least recognizable meals are the tastiest.
