It was nice to discover a bbq place in issaquah, but… we ordered ribs, creamed corn, and potato salad. The food arrived quickly, and the waitress was thoughtful and pleasant. The meal smelled amazing, but I was confused by the lack of a smoke line on the ribs… my first bite told me the reason. They taste like they were baked, then tossed in a steamer with some liquid smoke. Disappointing at best. The sweet bbq sauce is good, reminiscent of a quality store bought variety. The potato salad tastes like reesers from costco. And the creamed corn… well, it’s like whole kernel corn with sweet cream poured on and heated. Nothing was spectacular except the service. When the check arrived, it was someone else’s bill. She fixed it without much fuss but we shouldn’t have had to point out that three enters which were not a rack of ribs was wrong. All in all, disappointing and unappetizing. I doubt we will return.

Okay. I’ve had Stan’s once or twice. Compared to the BBQ that I grew up with, it is nothing special. Good for a casual night, but not terribly memorable.

Just ok. Main courses were pretty tasty. Beef, pork, ham, and turkey. Sides were a joke. Kids meals were a ripoff!!

Best BBQ in town. If you get down to Historical Downtown Issiquah, then you have got to go and check this place out.

Ho hum BBQ We tried this place a couple of times to be sure our initial opinion was fair…. Yes indeed… Just forgettable BBQ ….

Good but not great. Middle of the road BBQ. They could use some more side options and the slices of wonderbread don’t really do it for me. The meat is good, tender, nice flavor however they don’t offer a good selection of sauce and nothing that is even remotely hot enough. I would go in a pinch but if I’m craving real BBQ this just doesn’t hit the right spot.
