Overpriced – Disappointing. We are newer to the Issaquah area and were excited to try out the local wine bar for a date night. We went on a Saturday night to enjoy some live music. Our experience didn’t start off right; we entered and were not greeted or acknowledged for a good 5 minutes, it wasn’t until I stood up and walked to a server that we were brought a menu. It was busy but not that busy – we should have taken this as a sign of our dining experience. The music was the best part of our experience; the food was tasteless and and overpriced. We started off with salads which were ok, but nothing great. I ordered the Bella Prawns which were overcooked and extremely salty. The bread even had a layer of salt on it. He ordered the lasagna which had no flavor whatsoever, even the bread that came with it had no flavor. We were never offered pepper or Parmesan to go on the lasagna. Our server was nice, but not overly attentive nor personable. We were really disappointed in our experience and won’t be going back.

Great Atmosphere, better service needed. We’re what I would call regulars to Vino Bella averaging about once a week and there’s so much that is right about this place. Claude, the owner/host is very social and welcoming. He’s provided a bar atmosphere that hits just the right note when it comes to the ambiance, the live music, and the art on the wall. He has a nice selection of wines and now there’s a deli attached so the food menu has expanded. That’s all good. What’s not so good is the lack of service we’ve encountered repeatedly and the other night was the worst. It was a weekday and the place wasn’t even busy.It took forever to place our order, longer to get the glass of wine (which she brought to us with an attitude) and we had to track her down to pay. This is not the first, second or even third time this has happened. Claude, we love ya man but we feel that your prices are a bit ‘precious’ and the lack of service is making that glass of wine a little harder to swallow.
