Over priced. Had the sirloin steak & it lacked flavor & was tough. The salad bar is definitely overpriced, for $9.99 there should be a lot more choices. They definitely need to rethink their prices for their food considering there are better steak houses around. Won’t be going back very disappointed.
Terrible service. I ordered the salad and soup bar and they clearly wanted to wait until my gfs food was ready until to bring out my clean plate! Even after reminding the waitress, she still waited until my gfs food came out. Ridiculous and just tacky. I usually love sterlings, but I won’t be coming back to this one anytime soon.
Late Night Treasure. While waiting for family members to fly in, my sister in law and I came upon Sterlings in Kennewick, WA. They were closing in a half hour but assured us that we could take our time and not be rushed! We did and it was fabulous. We both had the enormous salad bar and enjoyed several cups of soup. The clam chowder is the best I’ve had probably ever if not in years! The coffee was not bitter and the continuous refills kept it hot. The menu was 5 pages long and included gluten free choices! I did not feel like I was missing out on ordering the salad bar…It was wonderful beyond my description.
Used to eat breakfast here regularly until I had a shift change at work. Stopped in after church recently to get breakfast to go, and the hostess started to take my order. The manager came up as we were in the process, and rudely asked what she was doing. He then told her she couldn’t take a to-go order because it was Sunday. She was embarrassed, I was frustrated, and I ended up at McDonald’s. I guess he would have been happier if I, being a single person, took up a 4-top for an hour rather than getting my food, paying for it, and letting someone else have the table. I certainly didn’t feel valued, after all the times I had been there, and I won’t go back.
Go for lunch, skip dinner. Lunch and salad bar are not bad and service was excellent. Dinner, however, has been a consistent disappointment. I ordered fish the last time we were there – skip this entree. Frozen, dry, poorly prepared.
Can’t go wrong. I love this place. Great service and awesome salads. Wish I lived closer!
Good diner. I go to Sterlings about every eight weeks. I like it here. It has a fabulous salad bar. The main cuisine is pretty good. They don’t seem to have a specialty like a Greek diner would, but nevertheless our family enjoys eating here. The atmosphere is fantastic. They take excellent care of their dining room. The service is always friendly. I have never had an issue with this establishment. They tend to cook with a mild spice level. If more flavor or intensity in the dishes is desired just ask because they have never had a problem cooking to order.
