This was some of the BEST BBQ we have had in a long time. It is a $$ but the meat is good quality and the servings are huge. You will take home food specially if you over order. You will deftly be happy you came here.

No time for a lot of words, too busy eating! Burnt ends, wow. Ribs, wow, Beans, wow. A 4/5 rating and a must come back for more.Marked as a favorite.

Chef Dean. Usually I am very picky when it comes to BBQ. Pete’s BBQ was amazing, greater then my expectations. The staff were very friendly too. One of Seattle’s hidden gems.

Good bbq and sauces. I had the burnt ends (which they told me was seasonal), corn bread, and coleslaw. The burnt ends were well prepared. They had the perfect balance of holding together and falling apart. The corn bread was made to please everyone, not too creamy and not too gritty. I could taste the freshness of the cabbage and ingredients in general. It was not too sweet or too vinegary. I would have liked more pepper, but that is a personal preference. I tried each one of their sauces and each one was superb. I felt each sauce was made for a different cut of meat. I’m not an expert, but the mild had great flavor, the medium had a hint of heat, but I would have liked a little more spice in the hot (once again personal preference). Once again I would like to say that they were all delicious with great bbq flavor. So many sauces these days are just too sweet for me and I’m glad to find a place that does it right.

The chipotle slaw is good. My chicken was a little dry but tender.

Not impressed. My family was meeting for lunch on Saturday, and I wanted to find a good BBQ joint to have lunch. I did some searching on here, and based on reviews and ratings, BBQ Pete’s sounded like the way to go. The environment is a nice, clean restaurant. They have their awards from the Puyallup fair on display, as well as their BBQ sauces for sale. I decided that I would try the half rack of baby back ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. The ribs had virtually no bark, the glaze/sauce on them was very sweet, and they were tough and dry. The toughness and dryness led me to believe that they were not fresh, but re-heated. There was also almost no smoke ring and flavor. The potato salad was very good, but I honestly couldn’t tell you now what the baked beans tasted like. Other items sampled by the family were the brisket, which was moist but again had almost no smoke flavor. The spare ribs were significantly better than the baby backs, which supports the thought that the spare ribs were probably fresh, and the baby backs were re-heated. The cornbread with honey butter was a hit though, as well as the free ice cream cone afterward. Overall: we won’t be coming back. It may have been a consistency thing, but we must have caught them on a bad day. The meat was just not very good.
