The Best!. Awesome tea store! The owner of the store is very nice and makes you feel at home. You can tell she really enjoys tea and she knows her stuff! This place is a great place to unwind and enjoy any kind of tea (there are so many!). It’s more than just tea.. its an experience!
Found a hidden gem today…. In a region run by coffee, I was so happy to find Xiu Xian Teahouse (I go to the Bellevue/Crossroads location)! Mako & Jenny really know about tea and take the time to educate buyers and answer *every* single question one might come up with. AND they went out of there way to make me and the other customers feel right at home.Other perks: *Inexpensive-moderate priced teas (from my experience) *Free Wi-Fi!*Real Chinese tea tables (which adds to the experience)*A nice range of teas (good quality too)*Iced teas (and bubble tea in the Kent store) – made from real tea – NOT A POWDER! *No hassle parking – they have their own lot*In a good locationCons – *WILL have trouble picking just one tea*No food in shop (plenty nearby though)My overall impression? This was a wonderful tea drinking experience. Their customer service is incompareably good and I am so please to have found them.
Now if I could only choose a tea…. Well, I’ve just made another trip to Xiu Xian, because the new spring sprout has arrived at last! This is a wonderful treat for those who love GOOD, authentic Chinese tea! I am especially partial to the new Imperial green and sitting at those great tea tables with Mako is a lovely way to pass the time. It is just so wonderful to find a place that believes it is an important part of the purchasing process to try the merchandise out first and decide if you like what you’re getting!Another new (inexpensive) treat by Jenni & Mako are the wonderful, cold blended teas that were added! My favourites are the Lavender and Chai lattes (I take mine with soy milk), but they also have a blended black tea latte made with Pur’h (which I normally don’t much care for, but this one is oh-so-special)! It’s WAAAY better than Starbucks or my kids bubble tea habit (I hooked them last week)!Treat yourself nice and go see Mako at Xiu Xian in the Crossroads Mall NOW! * Pros: FREE WI-FI, in-$ tea, near good food, yummy tea, cool drinks, comfortable in- and out-door seating * Cons: not open later (might change soon), no food
