Fantastic, AUTHENTIC wood-fired pizza. I had been the number one fan of Tutta Bella, before I discovered Veraci in Ballard. Now Pizzeria Pulcinella wipes them both off the map for me. I have travelled in Italy a lot. I even married a Milanese man. Both of us felt like we were in Italy again. The thin, slightly chewy crust and freshness and quality of the ingredients were simply perfetto. Brava e va bene, Pizzeria Pulcinella!

Undercooked dough. This place has a great atmosphere, and really nice staff. Their menu seems good, but they really undercook their pizzas. We sat at the counter by the stove for a long time (which is a really great place to sit), and watched the pizzas go into the oven and come out less than 60 seconds later. This happened all night. Our own pizza was only cooked on the surface. Biting into it was like eating raw dough with a little bit of crust on the top. Maybe Americans like their dough raw, who knows? But a minute is not long enough to cook dough all the way through. Too bad too- everything else about the place was great, and it seems like they use good ingredients.

Yummy Pizza. The pizza was delicious! Cute little place, attractive atmosphere, friendly staff, good service. We rented a house on Lake Washington for a family reunion and it was across the street. What a great find. Would recommend.

Thumbs up!. Tried this place for the first time Monday night.Great atmosphere– even with the inordinate number of babes in arms at the restaurant. Definitely a local neighborhood place –as evident by the families settling in with strollers and kids and nesting in the back corner.Clean bathrooms -thank you! Peroni beer on tap yeah. The red sauce is sweet and not spiced. The crust was good and the wood fire oven is the heart of the whole place Yes I would go back to this place again!

Best pizza in Seattle. Pulcinella is so seriously committed to great pizza that they imported their enormous wood-fired stone pizza oven from Naples! The oven is the centerpiece of the restaurant, blending in perfectly with the decor. I’d describe the atmosphere as friendly, upscale and good for either a group outing or a romantic dinner. The pizza is incredibly good. I remember waiting for three hours to eat at Sally’s Apizza (in New Haven, CT) and being blown away at the ever-so-slightly burned, perfectly chewy yet crisp crust. I’m thrilled to report that Pizzeria Pulcinella is even better! The flour and the tomatoes are imported from Italy, everything else is local and the quality of the ingredients really makes this pizza excellent. This is a family affair. We had a chance to talk to Vince, the owner, and learned that his family has owned a local Italian restaurant since the 50’s. Vince wife, Carla, was our hostess and their daughter, Gabriela, was our waitress. The love they’re pouring into Pulcinella comes out in the entire experience of going to this restaurant. I’d strongly recommend going, enjoy it when you do!
