The atmosphere is very Great-Northwest Trendy, all rustic wood and upscale-downhome modern. The small bar at the back provides electronic distraction, but in a reasonably discreet manner. The food is pretty good. I had the steak special of the day, an 8-ounce flatiron steak served with a twice-baked potato and roasted asparagus. It was a reasonably good piece of meat, properly prepared, and the accoutrements were well-made as well, though the asparagus could have been roasted another two or three minutes without suffering. The price for that dish was pretty reasonable, too, at about $17. My wife’s lasagna was not as pleasing. I found the ricotta cheese filling too dry, and the sauce too heavy on oregano; it tasted, in fact, like the oregano had been thrown in as an afterthought, and not allowed to blend into the sauce. It was also very overpriced, at $19. The service was friendly but, alas, not particularly competent. The first course dishes were never cleared away, we were never offered anything to drink beyond the water brought when we sat down, and the check folder was presented upside-down twice, thus ensuring that the contents ended up on the floor.THE CURMUDGEONS RATINGS (explained, sort of, on the Curmudgeon-About-Town blog):FOOD: 2 1/2 chili peppers (out of 5)SERVICE: 1 chili peppersAMBIENCE: 3 1/2 chili peppersVALUE: 2 1/2 chili peppers

Awesome food! Great find. Friendly service. Lovely views. My husband is a chef and thought the food was fantastic. Asparagus cooked to perfection. Marinara sauce delicious. We had meatballs, steak and ribs, couldn’t fault a thing.
