Delectable. My wife and I recently moved to the area, and wanted to find local, gourmet food without having to travel 15 miles to get it. Lyle Hotel to the rescue! We ordered the soup of the day (Tom Kha), the sauteed scallops over fettucini, and a rib eye in demi glace (blue rare). The scallops were amazing, sweet tender insides with a light browning crisp- the best either of us had tasted. The steak was perfect…truly blue rare- something I rarely receive when I order it. We are notorious for taking home half of what we order in doggie bags, but this meal was so delicious, we finished it and stayed to split a dessert (lemon cheesecake). The ingredients are local when they can get them, with a nice selection of local wine as well. I hear their Sunday brunch is good as well. The chef came out to greet us and ask how the meal was- he and his partner had been in the culinary business in Portland and wanted a little place of their own in the Gorge. The environment is quaint B&B with a pan Asian flair. We will be going back!
