This French cafe has a wide selection of dishes, and we found their portions to be generous. The mussels and wild boar ragout were the favorites among our group.
Tourist from Canada. Overpriced and not worth it.I don’t know what it is about this little city and their seeming inability tocook potatoes. I like the city, very much, but the food here was not worth it. I got the rainbow trout, which came butterflied and boneless doused in butter and capers. It was topped with about 6 pieces of sliced, half-cooked fingerling potatoes. It was so oily, obviously, but perfectly cooked, I have to give them that. I got the pigs ears as well, which was delicious for $8.50. And we also got the pork belly, which was also $8.50 but only came with, get this, 2 measly pieces, about 2 inch slices each. Would not come back.
Underwhelmed…. Overpriced food, zero customer service. Owner appears to operate her business from the viewpoint that the customer is always right as long as said customer gives her a glowing review 🙂 The food was tasteless, not sure they weren’t serving the same sauce just adding food coloring and renaming it. Nothing is complimentary and the atmosphere does not justify the price.
Charming and cozy. Went with the family – very friendly service, nice wine list, everything was really good! The duck confit served on the little French lentils w/bacon was amazing. The pan-roasted mushrooms were delicious, and the lamb chops and steak frites were very nice as well. Attentive service, even on a busy winter evening and the whole experience was very cozy. We WILL return and can’t wait to enjoy an evening on the lovely deck.
Best spot in the Seattle area. Had lunch: oyster po boy and the house smoked salmon plate. Great vibe in sleepy Langley. Would love to come here at night for the music.
Salt lick. Love the menu and staff is fairly congenial but I tell you, you feel like you’ve eaten at a salt lick if you have the scalloops, trout, risotto. I was so hungry that I ate the scallops with plenty of water but I’ve sent the other items back to the kitchen. I trust the Chef/Owner but who knows what might have been added to my re-order. Don’t look at the kitchen floor on your way out the back. Ugh….
Really Good!. I had the sautd octopus and the sweetbreads. There were excellent. A lot of restaurants don’t get these right. Prima Bistro nailed it. These two dishes are a true test. I figure if they can get these right, the can do almost anything. I’ll definitely, be back.
