Delicious! There was wonderful live music and the atmosphere was great (quaint with an old style charm). I had the fettuccini Alfredo, my daughter had the spaghetti with marinara, my husband had steak and fries, my son had ribs. I have to say everything was really amazing except the ribs (the sauce was a bit vinegary).
Good service, decent dcor, forgetable food. House made marinara sauce but not much else. Overall, over priced and disappointing food.
Service is nice, over powered by rosemary in the chicken caccitori. Ceaser salad while tasty, was tough outer leaves.
This place was terrible! We tried it because the northwest best places to kiss recommended it with 3 out of 4 stars. The mashed potatos tasted powered and the vegetables tasted frozen. The lasagna also tasted as it had been reheated. I ordered the chicken jerusalem-the house special and it tasted old and not fresh. The decor was old and thrown together as if you were eating at your blind aunts house with too many cats. Don’t go here and shame on northwest best places to kiss for recommending this restaurant.
Pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely go back again. Very good.Favorite place in town.
Our Favorite Place. This is our Favorite Place in Leavenworth! I know – it’s not even German – but we take a road trip to Leavenworth every year with two other couples – and every year we dine one night at The Alley Cafe. It is a tradition – and while I am sure that everything on the menu is great -the majority at our table order the same thing – every single time = their House Specialty – Chicken Jerusalem! Oh Divine!!! The atmosphere is great – they have an incredible jazz trio play over the wknd – can’t remember if it is Fri or Sat – but they add to the ambiance. The staff is friendly and on top of it – service is great and the food is consistently amazing! We have never left unhappy (or hungry!)
We like the atmosphere of the Alley Cafe. It is a nice romantic restaurant wih decent prices on drinks. The food is okay, but the lobster bisque is great.
