Our food was very good. My husband had the French dip. I had there a Reuben sandwich. A couple Moscow mules and we were all set. Leading up to that, though, we were less than impressed by two of the staff. No eye contact, nod, or smile, and an air of annoyance. But our eventual server, Melissa, was.friendly and attentive. Also, we loved eating out on the upstairs deck. It was a very hot day, and the mist system they use really does a great cooling job. The view of the mountains is spectacular!
My husband and I had been to Leavenworth many times but has never tried Gustav’s. We were missing out! Their food was great-my husband had fish and chips and he remarked that his fish was great and wasn’t greasy like he’s had at other establishments. My burger was HUGE and also fantastic. I’d definitely recommend them.
First time to Gustavs, not impressed with the host who greated us with a less than enthusiastic response. Hoping the food represents better!
Great Sundeck. The food is good but a bit expensive for what you get. The sundeck over the restaurant makes it worth the price. We typically reserve Gustav’s for lunch and do dinner down the street.
Disappointed local. We used to come to Leavenworth (18 years ago!) as young people, and Gusavs was always a highlight of our trip. In the last 15 years, however, the prices have skyrocketed, and the food quality has plummeted. Very sad. Still – love the upstairs sundeck on a nice day…great place for a beer.
