I really love German food and when I was here for Oktoberfest, I was really pump for some good Scheinehaxe with all the Saurkraut that can fit on a plate. sadly, I was really disappointed with King Ludwig. The meat was tough and the trimming were bare bones… It definitely did NOT hit the spot for my craving. I will be back in Leavenworth for Oktoberfest, but I will eat somewhere else.
The chicken courdon bleu is AMAZING and worth every penny. I always make sure to eat dinner here everytime I come to leavenworth. People r complaining about service in other reviews, but our waiter was awesome & very attentive. Sit in the restaurant tho with real tables, because the Biergarten is loud and has lots of kids.
Very disappointed. The server was unfriendly, slow, and did not seen like she really wanted to work. The saurbrsten was very tender, but gravy was bland. The spaeztle was overcooked, schnitzel was not tender and very dry. The red cabbage was the best thing on the dish. We traveled 2 1/2 hrs for an authentic German meal, and we were sadly disappointed.
Worst services/ tasteless pork feet ever. I Went there for dinner with 40 people on December 29. we tried pork feet, it’s tasteless, skin hard like a rock, can’t even cut it with knife
Good German food and a pretty good beer garden atmosphere. Having been to Germany and a few beer gardens, you are seated at long tables and may be seated near others diners. We were there while a Polka band was also playing, adding to the experience and bringing back memories of the Haufbrau House in Munich. Prices were higher than beer gardens in Germany but the food was pretty authentic.
Disappointed. Went for lunch. Looked forward to the sauerbraten. Meat was stringy and the taste was bland. Spatzle was overcooked. Bathroom was dirty. Went to another German restaurant the next day that was much better!
This place was awesome! We were craving good German food and we scored, we were treated awesome by the family who owns the place. I would recommend this place, we will be back!!
