French Onion Soup on a Stick. Traditional French onion soup has one drawback, too much soup, not enough bread and cheese. This reverses that. The soup is served in a mussel dish, little pockets of very good beefy broth, topped with crusty bread and an abundance of melty cheese, browned beautifully.
The chile relleno is okay. The potatoes are a tad undercooked and not a ton of flavor. The oat hot cakes with apple strudel is very good!! Definitely worth the visit. Order the sausage as a side. Some of the best breakfast sausage we’ve had. You won’t regret it
Disappointed. We ordered dinner (scallops w/pesto and steak w/potatoes). Both were about $20 each and not very good. We also ordered the Chocolate Gelato Crepe w/hazelnuts and berry sauce. It was absolutely huge and outstanding! Enough to share and I have to say it is one of the very best desserts ever! It was SO good, that we went back the next night for dessert. (No dinner…….didn’t want a repeat of the night before). So, we told the man when we went in that we were there for dessert. I think this made him mad…..turns out he was making the desserts. Ours was literally half the size of the dessert we had previously. We asked the waitress and she said they vary based upon who is cooking, however, we saw two more desserts come out after ours and they were huge! We think the guy was ticked off because we were only having dessert. We confronted him about it and he gave some lame excuse about the other desserts having extra whipped cream. really? No apology…,.we paid $12+ for half the dessert. No one offered to fix it in any way. Very disappointed in the attitude here.
We came in, got seated. We waited about 10min for someone to take our order. The food came after 45min! Ordered extra veggies instead of rice and only got 2slices of squash. I asked the waiter to get me some vegetables and she ignored me. After 10min she came and picked up our plates . It was my husband s birthday and I couldn’t believe what kind of service we received. I paid $56.00 for two entrees and horrible service. Please don’t waist you time or money at this place.
Expensive but good food, horrible service. Gave us the wrong menus at 11a and only realized it when we went to order and they said it was lunch yet. Brought out our food without silverware and then asked if we needed silverware only to never bring it out–I had to stand up and get it myself from their server area.
The crepes were very thick and tasted like dough. True to origin crepes are thin and light, so that they accentuate the flavor of the ingredients within. I would not eat here again, nor would I recommend it.
Expensive with mediocre food and terrible service.Mostly a service issue. It was disorganized and slow, even with two servers. For example, one server decided to clear plates and clean glasses instead of dealing with customers who had been waiting at least five minutes – plenty of empty seats. It took us a good 20-25 minutes to get the bill (not busy) – we only got it after requesting it continuously . Another group did pay but waited 20 minutes before they let the server know that she forgot their change.Food was mediocre and not worth the price.Don’t go here. Go to Mozarts.
