Typical beach town seafood menu with mostly deep fried food and boring menu. I’ll admit they do fry food very well. I guess I wasn’t in the mood for such food when I was there.
Captain Bob’s always has their great clam chowder, but also has at least one other chowder each day. They also serve other seafood like fish and chips and crab rolls. Today they had Smoked Salmon Chowder, so my wife had a quart of it. I had a crab roll and a bowl (pint) of clam chowder. It was all very good, as always. Really nice people and a good product. What more can we ask for?
Great food and service!
We stopped by this little quaint restaurant and as we were headed inside, a local passerby made sure to mention that this is the best restaurant in town. We would have to agree 100%. The owner is very welcoming ensuring that we try his chowders of the day, and boy they all did not disappoint. As I am not the greatest seafood fan I settled for the clam chowder which is the best chowder ever! Captain Bob’s is a must if stopping through Long Beach. We will return!
