Best. Bakery. Ever!!. A friend of mine introduced me to Cottage Bakery for the time this weekend while in town for a Relay For Life Retreat. It was love at first sight! This bakery does have a feel of being from another time. The young man helping us seemed excited to tell us about the many different selections we questioned, and what a selection! I’ve never seen that many unique types of donuts, or different spins on the typical selection found at grocery stores and chain donut shops. Tiger Paws, Sailor Jacks, Devil Dogs, Florentinas…wow! The applesauce cake donut was awesome, the huge buttermilk bar was the freshest and most delicate I’d ever tasted. I bought a heaping box for the ladies at our Retreat, and just that many more to take home to hubby and the boys. My family and I had a great time cutting many donuts into quarters for a sample of each.I am looking forward to returning with my family to vacation again in the area, and will surely go back to Cottage Bakery to sample breads, lunch selections, and other baked treats. I have a feeling this will be a can’t-miss destination from now on!
