5 items ordered for a party of 4. 1 (clam chowder in bread bowl) good, 3 (breaded calamari, breaded cod, crab cake) poor, 1 (clam strips) inedible. Seating comfortable. Service absent although staff were civil and cheerful.We picked it because it had open, comfortable seating on a Saturday night when other places were full. Now we know why.
If overpriced, deep fried, tasteless seafood is what you are looking for in a dull restaurant with no table service then this is the place to go. But why eat here when Long Beach has so much better to offer.
This place was HORRIBLE!!! We went in expecting a higher end(judging by the menu) restaurant and we were seriously disappointed! It was said to us the captain’s platter which is $26 feeds 3 people…maybe 3 small children. My husband’s missing a prawn and my brother in law(who ordered the same) didnt get either one of his oysters. When we brought it to the staff’s attention and voiced our unhappiness we were scolded and asked if we knew what a prawn and oyster were. Needless to say we had over $100 worth of food and to be completely honest McDonald’s would have been a cheaper and better choice…at leaat they apologise and fix their mistakes! The waitress ams another waiter were very rude and we will NEVER go back!!! STAY AWAY from that place!
Horrible. This is not the restaurant it uses to be. They waited til we were getting our dinners to tell my son they didn’t have anymore halibut for him. I asked for sun dried tomatoe sauce for my ravioli and they put white sauce on it and proceeds to tell me that’s what it was I found no tomatoes at all in it. Will never go there again
Terrible…. My boyfriend and I entered thru the bar side of the building and found that we were not greeted by the waitress. In fact, she looked at us and then continued what she was doing. We sat ourselves at the bar and eventually we were asked if we would need menus.While looking over the menu, the waitress and an older staff member actually argued in front of us and the handful of guests in the bar. This continued the entire time we were at the establishment (about 1 hour.) Very unprofessional. The waitress did not know the menu and any time we asked questions regarding the food or the drink specials, she yelled across the bar at an older staff member to get answers to our questions. The answers we received were insufficient and left us confused as to the pricing on the drink specials.We received our food in good time. The food was decent however it was WAY overpriced!!I would NOT recommend Crab Pot in Long beach to anyone. Service was terrible. Food was decent. Drink pricing was not clear and the food is very overpriced.
Good food/terrible service. Good food-pricey and service was terrible. No soda refills, they cost $1.00. Won’t be going back.
