The main dinning area has the feel of a sports bar. kind of dark with hardwood floors and numerous TVs (all playing sports) mounted to the wood panel walls. We ate in the sun room which is quiter and obviously much brighter – with a full wall of windows facing west and south and partial wall facing north. I had the grilled fish tacos with pineapple salsa. The portion was generous. My wife had the chicken with peanut sauce with coconut rice and sweat chile coleslaw. Her chicken was a bit on the dry side but she liked the peanut sauce and enjoined the slaw which she normally never eats. The service was friendly and the prices fair. This is a great place for good food.29 Mar, 2015Grilled Fish Tacos. Fresh and filling.
Great Place!. Brought some friends from Australia. We absolutlely loved our lunch. 2 of us had the Thai chicken in peanut sauce with coconut rice and a wonderful bistro salad. Another had fish and chips and said that his fish was very moist. The atmosphere _ good and waitress very friendly!
Great place for the locals and tourists alike. Food is simple yet very good, The staff is very friendly, you can’t beat that!
In a land of mostly crappy food, this place is not bad.. The Lost Roo does most things right. I don’t expect fantastic food there and you don’t get it. Tacos, pretty good. Fish and chips, pretty good. So far, after 2 visits, I’ve not been disappointed. The honest truth is that they are consistent, clean, professional and heated. That says volumes for places on the the peninsula. I mean that. You can count on the Roo to be good enough. If you want great food, you can find it but you will pay for it.
Always a good choice. Lost Roo is always a good choice for a meal. We have eaten here multiple times and the food has always been good. This time there were three of us for lunch. We each had something different, a Dungeness Crab Melt, Fish n Chips with tots instead of fries, and Smoked Salmon Mac n’ Cheese. Even with good intentions of saving some for later, we all finished our meals with no leftovers. Service was attentive and friendly.
The food was bad, ordered a steak salad, and the steak dry, cold and rubbery. Service was just as bad, waitress seemed annoyed, and when we requested extra of something she either forgot or wasn’t listening.
First trip to Long Beach. Great place to hang out for football, great food and drinks. The Dungeness crab is wonderful! Our server is friendly and prompt.
