I ordered the swiss steak special. The vegetables were mushy. The gravy was very salty and tasted like it came from a can. It was inexpensive but awful tasting.
Toppers does consistently good diner-style food at reasonable prices. Their breakfast meats are exceptionally good, too. Service can be slow but I’ll make exceptions for decent food. My favorites are the burgers and the milkshakes, done the old-fashioned way and big enough for two.
Best in town. I don’t understand how other feel it is expensive. You get very good food, a lot of food, and they are so willing to ‘tweak’ anything you order. Been going there for over 20 years. We love it, and think it’s the best in town for a wide variety of everyday food. Each day they have at least 3 different kinds of soup (a little on the salty side, but good). Their BLTs are to die for….Try it….you’ll like it !
Topper’s. St. Patricks day…..and i’m craving corned beef and cabbage. Well, when I got there they were out and I was starving. I thought I’m not going home and microwaving something from the freezer when I wanted real home cooking! I saw on the board they had prime rib. I haven’t had that in a long time. AMAZING!!!! It was the best I have ever had! Cooked exactly to my perfection! It came with a large side salad to start with, a huge baked potato with dinner. It was truly fantastic! The waitress was very friendly and the cook was as well! Well worth a try! Price was reasonable.
Pricey but good. And cool that they have both Coke and Pepsi products!
Over priced diner food that is poorly made, would not suggest.
