The experience of eating here was very good. The service was outstanding, with the owner helping out the waitstaff. The portions of food were very generous and super delicious. I would recommend this to anyone looking for simple home cooking.
Amazing pizza, prices and service!. I’m actually really shocked that there are bad reviews about this place. Every time I’ve come here, I get nothing but amazing service. Whenever I come here, I feel like I’m at home. Yeah, there’s occasionally a bad waitress (Haven’t seen her in awhile there, maybe she got fired?), but that would never stop me from coming.In short, this is the only place I ever go to get pizza anymore. They have hands down THE greatest pizza I have ever experienced in my life. I’ve never even met anyone that has eaten there and not fallen in love with it.Alex,( I believe the manager?), is someone I’ve always been fond of, a real respectable and nice guy. And after tonights experience, I like him even more. I don’t even think saying that I love him would be exaggerating. Truly amazing guy, and here’s why:I just got some really bad news so my boyfriend, in attempt to take my mind off of it, took me here because their pizza always cheers me up. Unfortunately, a large and obnoxious family decided to come in too. They sat at a table behind us and were just unbelievably loud and kept coming in and out of the back door, yelling at someone else about them owing them money or something. On top of that, there were four young kids with them who were running rampant around the place screaming while their parents just sat at the table, yelling at them to stop instead of getting up off their lazy butts and doing something about it. I was really stressed out already because of the bad news and all that going on behind us really wasn’t helping, so I almost just got up and moved to a different table. My boyfriend convinced me to stay because he didn’t want to be rude and we couldn’t exactly ask a waiter to ask them to be quiet since they were right behind us, so we stuck it out. We got our usual, a large half cheese and half pepperoni pizza with the pepperoni side being a little bit smaller so none of the pepperoni ever touches one of the cheese slices ever, which Alex knows by heart now.After awhile, Alex comes over again, sighs, and asked if we wanted a to-go box for the rest of our pizza, which of course we did because the pizza is absolutely amazing. He comes back a minute later with our box and our bill. My boyfriend goes over to the register to pay it while I stayed at the table to box up the pizza and the next thing I hear is Alex telling my boyfriend to not worry about the bill, that it was on him. We love this restaurant, so my boyfriend went back and forth with him on it, saying that he was perfectly happy paying, we had no problem with it at all and never felt like we shouldn’t have to pay for our meal, but he still refused and said he knew that the family was being really loud and that no one should have to deal with that. After he said that, my boyfriend gave up, and just asked if he could at least get change so he could leave a tip, since the smallest bill he had was a twenty, but Alex even refused a tip! We were really tempted to just leave the twenty there at the table, but Alex was watching us like a hawk and was really adamant that he wanted us to have our free meal!I’m still kind of shocked about this amazing service, I’ve had nothing but great times here, but this was definitely going above and beyond a good customer service.The next time we come here, we’re definitely leaving a well deserved giant tip! 😀

Alex and crew make fantastic pizza and pasta! They are so community centered and really treat their customers like family. Can’t go wrong with the quality and the price. You rock Astoria!
LOVE IT!. We have been going here for a long time. The prices are great. The people are friendly. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the food is delicious. I love their pizza because (pause for dramatic effect) they actually put toppings on it and the toppings are fresh! I order mushrooms and I actually get a mushroom in every bite (and they never skimp on the cheese). Perfect for a low key date night or night out with the family.
Good taste Bad Aftertaste. Every time We eat at Astoria I like the food OK but My husband and I both get sick after each visit no mater what I eat. So if you have a gut of steel go for it. The staff is so nice and service is fast. The prices are great I want to like it so much.
