This was my birthday dinner and it was fabulous! Great choice for a place to eat. I chose the dungeons crab, wedge salad with a cosmo for a drink. For desert I had key lime pie. Everything was PERFECT. Service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. I was super pleased with it all. I will definitely return!

This restaurant has truly been a staple of this neighborhood for decades. You probably aren’t going to come here and have the best meal of your life, although that is somewhat subjective. You will be able to come here and every time have a consistently good meal at a very reasonable price. There aren’t too many steak houses left that you can spend about $100 for two people and get this quality of food and service. On top of that The Keg has possibly one of the best Ceaser Salads you will ever have. The brand has grown considerably through the years but every restaurant I have visited has been consistent. I would prefer going to a Keg ten times out of ten over a Ruth’s Chris where the meal will most certainly be more than double the cost.

We dined here on both the 18th and the 23rd. From the mushroom Neptune, spinach and Caesar salad, to our med-rare steaks; they all were prepared fantastically. However both dining experiences had some issues, as they have a problem with timing between courses. I do not like when I am in the middle of my appetizer and the salads come or you’re still eating your salad and the main course arrives. In a restaurant where you’re paying at least $100 for your experience for a party of two I believe a 7 to 10 minutes interval between courses is necessary so you are Not feeling rushed. Also on the 23rd, they tried to seat us in a back corner where the seats were ripped up and then the hostess was noticeably frustrated when we asked to not have to sit on with ripped seats.

My go to when I’m not feeling up to cooking and have a hankering for steak. I’ve never been disappointed. Always provide awesome service and the food is delicious. They offer different cuts of steak of course depending on your preference, is always the best items to order from the menu. This time around I ordered the Surf & Turf served with cabbage slaw and asparagus spears. Delicious! hashtageat.com
