Tried this out after reading that this restuarant serves one of the Ethiopian foods in the city. The reviews held truth. Their Injera was the best. The spicy beef and pleasant lamb blended perfectly with their sour dough flatbread.I’d try dining outside next time I visit.
Delicious Ethiopian food and quick service. The veggie platter has a very good variety of veggies and lentils. Breads are soft and well cooked as they should be. Staff is friendly and ambiance is sober.

Best in town.. I’m always satisfied with the food in this joint. You can always count on the food being delicious, unlike most places where it’s hit or miss.
Super tasty ethiopian. I’ve tried a bunch of ethiopian restaurants in this area and I find Cafe Selam to be the best. The veggie platter has a greater variety and is much more freshly spiced. Their greens are to die for – we always get an extra order. Plus, they serve breakfast – their foul is delicious! We always feel so welcomed there by their super friendly staff.
Michael Natkin. I really like this place; it is friendly, inexpensive, and tasty. One of several very pleasant Ethiopian places in the same area on Cherry Street. I’ll try and write a review soon on herbivoracious.com.
